At the times you choose, Phewly reminds you to tap I'm OK. If you don't, it gives soft reminders, and after the wait you set, the people you chose are asked to check on you.

Open People & Pets › Invite Someone. Choose Text to pick them from your contacts (Phewly writes the message for you), or show a QR code, or read out a code. When they open it, both phones show the same 6-digit number. Check it matches, then say yes.

On your phone: People & Pets › Set Up for Someone Else. Fill in their name, check-in times, text size and medicines, then show them the QR code. On their phone, they tap Someone Set This Up for Me and scan it. You confirm the matching number on your phone, and you're connected.

Scroll to the end of Home and tap Edit Home. Move tiles up or down, hide the ones you don't need, or tap Add Tile to choose from your tools (anything that needs setting up is set up there). Hiding a tile keeps its tool and its reminders running. Everything Phewly can do is in the Tools tab.

• Check notifications are on: Settings › Notifications › Phewly.
• Allow Time Sensitive notifications so they come through Focus and Sleep.
• See what's later today and tomorrow in Today › See All, and every reminder waiting on your phone in Me › Check-ins and Medicines › Upcoming Reminders.

Missed check-in alerts come from our server, so your loved ones are still asked even if your phone is off. Reminders on your own phone need it to be on.

Yes: tap the moon at the top of Home to turn on Quiet mode (sleeping, away, resting or busy) until the time you choose. Your loved ones see why.

Only the people you choose. What you share is end-to-end encrypted: nobody can read what you share, not even us. Your mood diary, medicine names and photos stay on your phone; a weekly care summary, if you turn one on, shares only what you choose. Read the privacy policy for every detail.

Me › Privacy and Security › Delete Everything removes your account and data from our server and your phone. We keep only the old random ID for a year, so an old phone is told what happened (more).

If both phones use the same Apple Account with iCloud Keychain, open Phewly on the new phone and it finds you by itself and asks to move there. If you turned on Sign in with Apple, you can also use I've Used Phewly Before on the new phone to bring back your Plus; your loved ones are told to connect with you again.

Free has everything you need for daily check-ins and missed-check-in alerts, with one connection, plus Quiet mode, check-in schedules, medicine and photo reminders, pet care reminders and records, wellbeing tools and help resources, the wake-up alarm, weather, accessibility settings, an Info Pack you create and keep privately, and checking in from the Apple Watch app. Plus adds more connections, missed-dose alerts to chosen loved ones, sharing pet care instructions and the sitter PDF, sharing selected Info Pack details, Safe Arrival, battery and location during an alert (with consent), "Are you OK?" nudges, the weekly care summary, temporary care handover, and Apple Health tools with Apple Watch (falls, steps as a check-in and sleep-friendly reminders). Plus is a yearly subscription. You choose who it covers, from just you up to you and four more people, and it renews each year so your loved ones' cover never lapses by accident. Phewly reminds you a week before it renews, with the date and the price. Prices are shown in your App Store's currency.

To cancel, open Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone (or Me › Phewly Plus › Manage Subscription in Phewly) at least 24 hours before it renews. Plus stays on until the end of the year you've paid for. To cover more or fewer people, choose Change Who's Covered: more people starts straight away, fewer starts when it next renews.

Everyone stays covered for a little while Apple tries again. Update your payment details in Settings › Apple Account › Payment & Shipping and Plus carries on as normal.

Open Me › Phewly Plus › Restore Purchases while you're online. If it still isn't right, email us and we'll sort it out.

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
